guestdesk is operated by imperfection.tech. cform is our first product — a tool that helps indian hotels file C-Forms to the FRRO portal at indianfrro.gov.in. we are an independent third-party tool. we are not affiliated with the Government of India, the Bureau of Immigration, or FRRO, and we never claim to be.
the hotel is the data fiduciary — they decide why and how guest data is processed. guestdesk is the data processor — we provide the tool that processes it on the hotel's instructions. every hotel signs a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) during onboarding.
all guest data is hosted on indian servers (Mumbai region, ap-south-1). data is encrypted at rest and in transit. role-based access control with row-level security ensures hotels only see their own guests. there is no cross-border transfer of personal data.
we retain filing records for 5 years to satisfy FRRO requirements. passport and visa images are deleted earlier where feasible. hotels may request earlier deletion in writing; we will comply unless a legal retention obligation prevents us.
if you are a foreign guest whose data was filed via cform, you may request access, correction, or erasure of your personal data. contact the hotel that filed your form first — they are the data fiduciary. you may also email us at hello@imperfection.tech and we will route the request appropriately.
if we become aware of a personal data breach, we will notify affected hotels without undue delay and within 72 hours, in line with DPDPA expectations.
